Terms of Use — Accueil Visiteurs
Last updated: 2026-09-04
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing or using the Accueil Visiteurs application (the "App"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Service description
Accueil Visiteurs is an iOS and iPadOS visitor register application that lets an organization (office, clinic, school, coworking space, building management, town hall, construction site) log visits locally: visitor name, company, reason for visit and person visited. The App offers a kiosk mode meant to be placed at the reception desk and an admin panel protected by PIN code and Face ID/Touch ID.
3. License
Alexandre Paul grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the App on iOS and iPadOS devices you own or control, in accordance with App Store usage rules. This license is also subject to Apple's standard end-user license agreement available at: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
4. In-app purchases and subscriptions
The App offers an optional Premium subscription (unlimited visitors, full CSV export, custom company logo, custom accent color, visitor electronic signature, visitor photo capture, customizable visit reasons, data retention period settings). This subscription is handled exclusively by Apple's App Store under its own terms. Refund requests are handled by Apple, not by Alexandre Paul.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to:
- Not use the App for illegal or fraudulent purposes;
- Not attempt to decompile, disassemble or reverse-engineer the App;
- Not bypass the App's technical protections (PIN code, biometric authentication);
- Not use the App in a way that could damage, disable or overburden a system;
- Inform your visitors, where required by your local regulation, that their identifying information and, where applicable, their photo or signature are recorded as part of their visit.
6. Role of the using organization (data controller)
You, as the organization using the App to log your visitors, are solely responsible, under applicable data protection law (including GDPR where applicable), for the personal data entered (name, company, reason, photo and signature where applicable). Alexandre Paul only provides the technical tool for local data entry and storage; he has no access to any of that data, which stays exclusively on the device used by your organization.
7. Intellectual property
The App, its code, graphics, name and visual identity belong to Alexandre Paul and are protected by intellectual property laws. Visitor data you enter remains your exclusive property.
8. No warranty
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without any express or implied warranty, including fitness for a particular purpose, error-free operation or service continuity. You use the App at your own risk, including for any regulatory or security use your organization may derive from it.
9. Non-official nature
Accueil Visiteurs is an independent application. It is not affiliated with any organization, administration or regulatory authority. It does not replace any specific legal obligations that may apply to your organization regarding security registers, access control or data retention.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable French law, Alexandre Paul's liability is limited to the price actually paid for the App (zero if the App is used in its free version). Alexandre Paul shall in no event be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages related to the use or inability to use the App, including the loss of visitor data stored locally on your device.
11. Personal data
Data processing is described in the App's privacy policy. The App runs primarily locally on your device; no visitor data is transmitted to Alexandre Paul.
12. Changes to these terms
Alexandre Paul reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. The most recent version will be made available within the App or via its App Store listing. Continued use of the App after modification constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or performance shall fall under the jurisdiction of the French courts, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules.
