FAQ

How does Kargo work?

Kargo lets you catalog your moving boxes (label, contents, photo, voice dictation) and receive reminders at key milestones (M-30 days, M-7 days, etc.).

Is my data shared?

No. Data stays exclusively on your iPhone. No transmission to Kargo servers. Speech recognition uses Apple's SFSpeechRecognizer API (see Apple's privacy policy).

How do I delete all my data?

Uninstall the app. This also removes photos stored in its private folder.

Why does Kargo ask for camera access?

To photograph the contents of your boxes. Optional — you can use text or the photo library instead.

Why does Kargo ask for microphone and speech recognition access?

For voice dictation of box contents. Optional — you can type everything.

Why does Kargo ask for photo library access?

To import an existing photo instead of using the camera. Optional.

Why does Kargo ask permission to send notifications?

For local reminders at moving milestones (M-30, M-7, etc.). Optional.

Common issues

The app does not open

Force-quit and restart your iPhone. Update iOS and the app.

Voice dictation does not work

Check Microphone and Speech Recognition permissions in Settings > Kargo. Also check internet connectivity if on-device recognition is not supported on your iPhone model.

Notifications are not delivered

Check Settings > Notifications > Kargo and make sure notifications are enabled.
