How do I log a shift?

Tap "Log a shift", enter your cash tips, card tips, hours worked and break time. Your real hourly rate appears instantly, then tap "Log it".

I work more than one job, can Tipo handle that?

Yes, with Tipo Pro. Add each employer with its own base hourly wage in Settings, then pick the right one when you log a shift. The Home Screen filter lets you see stats per employer or all jobs combined.

What does "real hourly rate" mean?

It's your base wage plus tips (cash and card), divided by hours actually worked (after subtracting break time). It's the number that tells you what a shift was really worth.

How do I add the widget to my Home Screen?

Long-press your Home Screen, tap the "+" in the corner, search "Tipo" and add it. The widget shows this week's rate at a glance.

Is Tipo Pro a subscription?

No. Tipo Pro is a one-time purchase, valid for life, priced at $8.99.

I already paid, how do I restore my purchase?

In Settings, tap "Restore purchases." Your purchase will be recognized on all your devices signed in with the same Apple ID.

How do I export my shifts for taxes?

In Settings, tap "Export tax report (CSV)." This is free and always available, with or without Tipo Pro.

How do I delete a shift?

Swipe left on a shift in the Home list to edit or delete it.

Does Tipo work without Internet?

Yes. Logging shifts, stats and the widget all work offline. A connection is only used for anonymous usage analytics and to process a Tipo Pro purchase.

Common issues

The app won't open

Force-quit and restart your iPhone. Update iOS and the app.

My shifts disappeared

Uninstalling the app removes data stored on the device. Make sure you're not confusing job filters on the Home Screen (check the "All jobs" filter).
