Terms of Use — Skano
Last updated: 2026-09-04
Purpose
Skano is a food scanning app that helps you spot allergens in a product from its barcode. By downloading or using the app, you accept these terms.
Use of the app
You agree to use Skano lawfully. The profiles, allergens and information you enter in the app are your responsibility; always verify the accuracy of the allergens declared for each profile.
In-app purchase (Skano Plus)
Skano offers a single in-app purchase, Skano Plus, which unlocks unlimited profiles, unlimited history and an unlimited shopping list. It is a non-consumable purchase, valid for life for the Apple ID that made the purchase. No subscription is charged. Payment is processed by Apple through your App Store account, at the price shown in the app at the time of purchase. Purchases can be restored from within the app.
Disclaimer — not a medical device
Skano is a label-reading aid, not a medical device. The data shown comes from Open Food Facts, a collaborative database that may contain errors, omissions or outdated labels. Skano never guarantees that a product is safe for an allergic or intolerant person: always check the product's actual packaging before consumption. Skano does not provide diagnosis or prescriptions and does not replace medical advice.
Limitation of liability
Skano is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be held liable for any damage, including an allergic reaction, related to the use of the app or reliance on the information it displays.
Intellectual property
The app, its design and its original content are the property of Alexandre Paul. The data you enter belongs to you.
Changes
These terms may change. In case of a substantial change, the update date at the top of this document will be revised.
