Summary

The data you enter in Pitcho (pitchers, pitch counts, outings) is stored on your device. Pitcho also uses an anonymous usage-analytics tool (PostHog) to improve the app, described below.

1. Who we are

Pitcho ("Pitcho: Pitch Count Tracker") is an iOS mobile app that helps parents and coaches track youth baseball pitch counts and mandatory rest days, distributed by an independent developer, Alexandre Paul. Contact: alexandre-paul@outlook.com.

2. Data stored on your device

The following is stored in the app's storage, on your iPhone or iPad, and only leaves the device when you choose to share it (by message, email or export):

Data Storage Purpose
Pitcher first name and league age Local (on-device) Compute daily pitch limits and rest requirements
Pitch counts and outing history Local (on-device) Track pitches thrown and rest owed
Ball/strike and inning data Local (on-device) Log the outing accurately

No account or cloud sync is required. Pitch Smart and Little League rule tables are static data embedded in the app; nothing is fetched from a server.

3. Sharing an outing

When you share an outing summary, Pitcho prepares a text or image and opens your device's share sheet. You choose the recipient and channel (Messages, email, etc.). Pitcho hosts no sharing server and creates no public link.

4. System permissions

Pitcho does not require camera, location, contacts or microphone access.

5. Anonymous usage analytics (PostHog)

Pitcho uses PostHog to understand how the app is used and improve it. PostHog is an open-source tool, hosted on European (EU) servers, GDPR-compliant.

  • Data collected: anonymous usage events (actions taken, screens viewed), app version, device type, iOS version.
  • Data not collected: name, email, phone number, location, advertising identifier (IDFA), pitcher names.

This data is tied to a random identifier generated at install, which cannot identify you. It is never used for advertising nor shared with third parties. No ad network, no other tracking tool.

6. Retention and deletion

You can delete a pitcher or an outing at any time from the app: this erases the corresponding data. Uninstalling the app removes all data stored on the device.

7. Children's privacy

Pitcho is used by parents and coaches to track statistics about a young athlete's pitching activity (name and age only); it is not directed at children as end users and does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

8. Changes

In case of a substantial change to this policy, the update date at the top of this document will be revised.
