How does Nannly work?

Nannly lets you clock a shift (start/end) in a few taps, manage multiple families and children, keep a daily log (meal, nap, diaper, activity, medication, note), and calculate estimated pay from hourly rate, overtime, tips and mileage.

How is overtime (OT) calculated?

Each family has its own weekly overtime threshold (40h by default). Beyond that threshold for the configured workweek, hours are paid at 1.5x in the estimated pay calculation, if the option is enabled for that family.

How do I generate a PDF invoice?

From a family's recap, use the invoice generation button. Nannly creates a PDF summarizing the shifts, hourly rate, overtime, tips and mileage for the period, with the notice "Estimates only, not legal or tax advice." You can then share it via the iOS share sheet.

How does the Nannly Plus subscription work?

Nannly Plus is a yearly subscription ($19.99/year) handled by the App Store, which unlocks premium features (advanced multi-family management, PDF invoicing, full payment history). It renews automatically unless cancelled in iOS Settings (Settings > your name > Subscriptions), at least 24 hours before renewal. No free trial is offered.

How do I restore my purchase / subscription?

From the Paywall screen or the App's settings, use the "Restore Purchases" button. Nannly checks the App Store to find your active subscription tied to your Apple ID, with no new charge.

How do I add multiple families?

From the main screen, add a new family with its own hourly rate, overtime rules and reference currency. Managing several families at once is part of the Nannly Plus premium features.

How do I export my data?

Use the PDF invoice generation feature to export a period's recap. Sharing goes through the iOS share sheet (Mail, Files, AirDrop, etc.).

Does Nannly calculate my pay officially?

No. Nannly calculates estimates from the data you enter (hourly rate, hours, tips, mileage). It is not a filed payroll service, nor legal or tax advice. Always verify amounts with your employer, employee or a qualified professional before any payment or official filing.

Why does Nannly ask permission to send notifications?

For local reminders: clocking out if a shift has been open for a long time, daily or weekly recap. Optional, can be disabled anytime in Settings > Notifications > Nannly.

Common issues

The app does not open

Restart your iPhone, update iOS and the app.

My Nannly Plus subscription is not recognized

Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the purchase, then use "Restore Purchases". If the issue persists, contact us with a screenshot of your Apple receipt.

The estimated pay total seems wrong

Check the family's hourly rate, the overtime threshold, the end time of each shift, and the tips/mileage entered.

Notifications are not delivered

Check Settings > Notifications > Nannly.
