Summary

The rooms, tasks, and frequencies you set up in Menajo are stored only on your iPhone. No cloud sync, no account required. Menajo also uses an anonymous usage analytics tool (PostHog) to improve the app, described below.

1. Who we are

Menajo is an iOS household chore tracking app, published by an independent developer, Alexandre Paul. Contact: alexandre-paul@outlook.com.

2. Data stored on your device

The following data is stored in the app's storage, on your iPhone, and never leaves the device except via your personal iCloud backup:

A summary of the number of tasks to do is also written to a shared App Group container (group.com.menajo.app) on your device so the Home Screen widget can display it. This data never leaves your device.

3. Notifications

Menajo may request permission to send a local daily reminder, only if you enable it in settings. This notification is generated entirely on your device; no data is sent to a server to produce it.

4. Anonymous usage analytics (PostHog)

Menajo uses PostHog (hosted in Europe) to understand how the app is used and improve it. Events sent: app opened, onboarding completed, room added, task checked, task postponed, paywall shown, purchase unlocked.

Data collected: anonymous usage events, app version, device type, iOS version.
Data not collected: no name, no custom task, no content you entered is ever sent.

This data is linked to a random identifier generated at install, which cannot identify you. It is never used for advertising purposes or shared with third parties.

5. In-app purchase

The Menajo Complete purchase is processed by Apple via StoreKit. Menajo never has access to your payment information.

6. No data resale

Menajo does not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.

7. Your rights

You can delete all your data at any time by uninstalling the app. For any question about your data, contact alexandre-paul@outlook.com.
