Privacy Policy — Kubu

1. Introduction

Kubu is an iOS mobile application for managing group holiday budgets. It is developed and published by an independent developer.

2. Data collected

Kubu does not collect any personal data.

All information entered in the App (trip names, expense categories, amounts, participant names) is stored exclusively on your device, in the App's local database (SQLite via SwiftData).

Kubu:

  • does not connect to any remote server,
  • does not transmit any data to third parties,
  • does not collect any usage statistics,
  • contains no tracking or behavioral analytics tool (no Firebase, no Amplitude, no other analytics SDK),
  • does not collect advertising identifiers (IDFA).

3. System resources

Photo library (optional)

Kubu can save a trip summary to your photo library only if you explicitly tap the "Save to Photos" button. Photo library access is never triggered automatically.

Kubu never reads your existing photos. Access is strictly limited to adding an image generated by the App.

User preferences (UserDefaults)

Kubu uses local device preferences (UserDefaults) to remember your in-app settings, for example your default currency. These data never leave your device.

4. Data sharing

Kubu does not share any data with third parties, advertising partners or governments, except where legally required.

5. Storage and security

All your data is stored locally on your iPhone, in the App's secure sandbox. It is protected by iOS's standard security mechanisms (storage encryption, app isolation).

Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all your data.

6. Minors

Kubu collects no data and does not specifically target minors. The App is suitable for all ages.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy is materially changed, the date at the top of this document will be updated. Since Kubu collects no data, any future change would relate to a new feature requiring additional system access, which would be described explicitly here.
