FAQ
How does Kombix work?
Kombix is a beekeeping logbook: create your hives, record each visit (weather, queen, brood, stores, varroa, supers, actions…), log harvests and treatments. Everything works offline.
Is my data shared?
No. All data stays on your iPhone (SwiftData + photos in the App container). No network connection, no third-party SDK. iCloud sync is disabled by default.
How do I delete all my data?
Uninstall the app. You can also delete individual hives, visits, harvests or treatments inside the app.
How do I export my logbook?
Use the PDF / CSV export feature (P1) in Settings. Sharing goes through the iOS share sheet.
Why does Kombix ask for camera / photo library access?
To add photos to your visits (frames, queen, observed issues). Optional.
Why does Kombix ask permission to send notifications?
For next-visit reminders (+7 / +14 / +21 days) and varroa-window reminders. Optional and purely local.
Does Kombix replace an official register?
No. Kombix is a personal observation tool. It does not replace regulatory obligations (hive declaration, livestock register, traceability, veterinary treatment register, etc.).
Common issues
The app does not open
Restart your iPhone, update iOS and the app.
My data disappeared
Uninstalling removes data. If iCloud was enabled, make sure you are signed into the same Apple ID.
Notifications are not delivered
Check Settings > Notifications > Kombix.
iCloud does not seem to sync
Make sure you are signed into iCloud (iOS Settings > [your name]) and that Kombix sync is enabled in the App settings.
