Terms of Use — Escapo

Last updated: 2026-08-05

Purpose

Escapo plans a road trip across France: it calculates a day-by-day itinerary from a starting address, a destination address and a date, with suggested tourist detours, fuel prices, rest areas and weather forecasts. By downloading or using the app, you accept these terms.

Nature of the information provided

Distances, durations, trip feasibility, fuel prices, rest area or campsite locations, fixed speed camera counts and weather forecasts shown are indicative estimates, computed from public and open data sources (Apple MapKit, data.economie.gouv.fr, OpenStreetMap, data.gouv.fr, Bison Futé, Open-Meteo). This data may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate. Escapo does not provide real-time turn-by-turn navigation or in-drive speed camera alerts: it is a planning tool, meant to be used before departure.

Free of charge

Escapo is currently a fully free app, with no in-app purchase or subscription.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Escapo in compliance with traffic laws and applicable regulations. Escapo does not replace your attention while driving or actual road signage.

No warranty and limitation of liability

Escapo is provided "as is", with no guarantee of absolute accuracy for trip, price or weather data. To the extent permitted by French law, Alexandre Paul's liability cannot be engaged for travel decisions made solely on the basis of information shown in the app.

Termination

You may stop using Escapo at any time by deleting the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law.
