How does Elflo work?

Elflo lets you organize a Secret Santa: enter participant first names, set an optional budget, run the draw, then distribute assignments in person or via encrypted personal links.

Is my data shared?

No data is transmitted to any Elflo server. "Remote" links contain an encrypted (AES-GCM) token that you send via your own messaging channel (SMS, email, etc.). No Elflo server receives or stores this information.

How do I delete all my data?

Uninstall the app.

Why does Elflo request no permissions?

Because it does not need any: you enter first names manually, with no access to contacts, camera or photos.

Is the encryption professional-grade?

The AES-GCM encryption used is solid and standard, but the practical goal is "anti-curiosity" (preventing the organizer from seeing the assignments). It is not designed for very high-confidentiality use cases.

Common issues

The app does not open

Restart your iPhone, update iOS and the app.

A participant did not receive their link

Check the messaging channel used (SMS, email). Elflo does not send links itself: you share them via the iOS share sheet.

The link does not open

The recipient must open the link on a device that supports santadraw.app. Check the recipient's internet connection.
