1. Acceptance

By using Calio (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Calio is a nutrition tracking app. You describe what you eat (text, voice dictation, or photo) and the App estimates the calories and nutritional composition of the meal using an artificial intelligence service. Estimates are indicative and may be refined through clarifying questions.

3. License

Alexandre Paul grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license. Also subject to Apple's standard EULA: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

4. In-App Purchases and Subscription

The app operates exclusively via a Calio Premium subscription, priced at 9.99 EUR/month, preceded by a 3-day free trial. There is no free tier.

Payment is charged to your App Store account at the end of the free trial, unless cancelled beforehand. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each monthly period, unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, for the same price. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from Settings > your name > Subscriptions. Any unused portion of the free trial is forfeited when you purchase the subscription. Prices are listed in euros and may vary by region.

Family members or testers may receive free access via an Apple promotional code ("Offer Code"), granted at the developer's discretion.

5. Nutritional Estimates

Calorie and nutritional values displayed by Calio are AI-generated estimates based on your description. They do not constitute medical or professional dietary advice and may contain margins of error, particularly when the description provided is imprecise. Calio should not be used as the sole tool for managing a medical condition (diabetes, eating disorder, allergy): consult a healthcare professional or dietitian for any medical decision.

6. Acceptable Use

No illegal use, no reverse engineering, no circumvention of protections. You are responsible for the information, descriptions, and photos you submit to the App.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, and original content belong to Alexandre Paul. The data you enter (food journal, goals) remains your property and is stored on your device.

8. No Warranty

The App is provided "as is," without warranty of error-free operation or fitness for a particular purpose, particularly regarding the accuracy of nutritional estimates.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by French law, Alexandre Paul's liability is limited to the amount paid for the subscription over the past 12 months. No liability for indirect or consequential damages, including those resulting from a dietary or health decision based on the App's estimates.
