Summary

The data you enter in Tipo (jobs, shifts, tips, hours) is stored on your device. Tipo also uses an anonymous usage-analytics tool (PostHog) to improve the app, described below.

1. Who we are

Tipo ("Tipo - Tip & Wage Tracker") is an iOS mobile app for tip and wage tracking, distributed by an independent developer, Alexandre Paul. Contact: alexandre-paul@outlook.com.

2. Data stored on your device

The following is stored in the app's storage, on your iPhone, and never leaves the device except via your personal iCloud backup:

Shift data is also written to a shared App Group container (group.com.kenoby.tipo) on your device so the Home Screen widget can display it. This data never leaves your device.

3. Notifications

Tipo may ask permission to send a local reminder notification, scheduled at the time of day you usually log a shift. This notification is generated entirely on your device; no data is sent to a server to produce it.

4. Export

Tipo lets you export your shift history as a CSV file for tax purposes. This file is created on your device and only leaves it if you choose to share it through your iPhone's share sheet.

5. Anonymous usage analytics (PostHog)

Tipo uses PostHog to understand how the app is used and improve it. PostHog is an open-source tool, hosted on European (EU) servers, GDPR-compliant.

Data collected: anonymous usage events (actions taken, screens viewed), app version, device type, iOS version.
Data not collected: name, email, phone number, location, advertising identifier (IDFA), your job names or amounts.

This data is tied to a random identifier generated at install, which cannot identify you. It is never used for advertising nor shared with third parties. No ad network, no other tracking tool.

6. In-app purchase (Tipo Pro)

Tipo Pro is a one-time, non-consumable purchase processed by Apple through your App Store account. No payment data is collected or stored by Tipo itself.

7. Retention and deletion

You can delete a shift or a job at any time from the app. Uninstalling the app removes all data stored on the device, including the widget's shared data.

8. Minors

Tipo does not specifically target minors and collects no sensitive data. The app is suitable for general use.

9. Changes

In case of a substantial change to this policy, the update date at the top of this document will be revised.
