FAQ

How does Roulo work?

Roulo bundles several random-picking tools: pick one name from a list, form balanced teams, generate a presentation order, animated wheel, dice, coin flip, number picker. You create reusable lists ("My class", "My team").

Is my data shared?

No. Your lists and draw history stay on your iPhone (SwiftData). No network request, no third-party SDK. iCloud sync (P1) is disabled by default.

How do I delete all my data?

Uninstall the app. You can also delete individual lists inside the app.

Does Roulo request permissions?

No. No system permission is required (no camera, no photos, no microphone, no notifications).

Is the draw truly random?

Roulo uses iOS's system random generator (SystemRandomNumberGenerator). It is sufficient for classroom or facilitation use, but not certified for money lotteries or legally binding draws.

Does Roulo work offline?

Yes, 100%. Designed to work even without a network (unstable school Wi-Fi, airplane mode, etc.).

Common issues

The app does not open

Force-quit and restart your iPhone. Update iOS and the app.

My lists disappeared

Uninstalling deletes data. If iCloud was enabled, make sure you are signed into the same Apple ID.

The animation is too fast / too slow

Change the animation duration in Settings > Roulo.
