Summary
Resello is a profit tracker for reselling secondhand items: it works out the real profit on every flip, fees and taxes included. What you enter is stored on your device and synced to your private iCloud account. Resello uses no account, no password and no server of ours. The app also uses an anonymous usage analytics tool (PostHog), described below.
1. Who we are
Resello is an iOS app published by an independent developer, Alexandre Paul. Contact: alexandre-paul@outlook.com.
2. Data you enter
You enter your inventory (items, purchase price, sale price, platform, fees), your expenses, your monthly goals and any item photos you add.
This data is stored on your device and synced to your private iCloud account, so you find it again on your other Apple devices. Syncing uses CloudKit: the data stays in your personal iCloud space, which we cannot access. You can turn syncing off at any time in iOS Settings, under iCloud.
No account is required. We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number.
3. Photos
You can attach photos from your photo library. Selection goes through Apple's system picker, which hands the app only the images you pick: Resello never gets access to your whole library. Selected images are stored with your data, so in your private iCloud.
4. Location
Resello does not request your location and accesses no location data.
5. Anonymous usage analytics (PostHog)
Resello uses PostHog (EU hosting, eu.posthog.com) to understand how the app is used and improve it. The events sent are usage events: app opened, onboarding finished, subscription screen shown, purchase made.
What is never sent: the content you enter. The data described in section 2 does not leave your device and is not shared with PostHog.
These events are tied to a random technical identifier, specific to the installation, which cannot identify you and is not linked to any account. Legal basis: legitimate interest in improving the product (GDPR article 6(1)(f)). For any request about this data, write to alexandre-paul@outlook.com.
6. Purchases
Resello offers an auto renewable subscription (monthly or yearly), with a free trial clearly shown before any commitment.
Payments are handled entirely by Apple. We neither see nor store your payment details. Apple only tells us whether the purchase is active.
7. Retention and deletion
Your data stays as long as you keep it. Deleting an item in the app deletes it for good. Uninstalling the app erases all local data. Synced data stays in your iCloud until you delete it: you can erase it from iOS Settings, iCloud, Manage Account Storage.
8. Children
Resello is not intended for children under 13 and knowingly collects no data about them.
9. Your rights
Because your content lives on your device, you keep direct control over it at all times (view, edit, delete). For the anonymous usage events described above, you can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure and objection by writing to alexandre-paul@outlook.com.
