1. Who we are

Nannix (the "App") is an iOS app that counts childcare hours (childminder, nanny, in-home care), published by an independent developer, Alexandre Paul. The App is distributed on the App Store under the name Nannix.

2. Summary

  • Nannix works without an account. Your children, employers, care sessions, times and notes are stored only on your iPhone. They are not synced to any server or to iCloud.
  • The App sends anonymous usage statistics (PostHog, hosted in the European Union) to help us improve it. The content of your care sessions (first names, times, notes) is never sent: it is masked on your device, including in the session recordings described below.
  • No ads, no cross-app advertising tracking, no data sale.

3. Data stored on your device

The information you enter is stored in the App's private storage on your iPhone (SwiftData). The developer has no access to it.

Nannix processes no amount, hourly rate, social contribution or payslip.

4. Anonymous usage statistics (PostHog)

To understand how the App is used and improve it, Nannix sends usage events to PostHog (servers located in the European Union, eu.i.posthog.com). Examples: screen viewed, arrival or departure clocked, PDF or CSV export, subscription screen shown, subscription purchased or restored.

These events come with technical information: a random identifier specific to the App (reset if you delete it), device model, iOS version, App version, device language and region. PostHog derives an approximate country from the connection's IP address.

This data is never linked to your name, email, Apple ID or any other personal identifier, and is not used for advertising.

Never sent: child first names, employer names, care times, absences, notes, export content.

Legal basis: the developer's legitimate interest in measuring App usage to fix and improve it (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

5. Purchases and Nannix Premium subscription

Purchases are processed exclusively by Apple through the App Store. The developer never receives your payment information. The App checks with Apple (StoreKit) whether a subscription is active, and sends PostHog an event stating that a purchase happened (product, displayed price, currency), without any payment data.

6. Apple attribution (AdServices)

At install, the App reads once, through Apple's AdServices system framework, an attribution token that tells whether the install came from an Apple Search Ads ad. This token does not contain the advertising identifier (IDFA) and requires no tracking permission.

7. Notifications

If you allow them, the App schedules local notifications (clock-in reminders, for example). They are generated on your device by iOS. No data is sent to a server to deliver them.

8. Exports

PDF and CSV recaps are generated on your device. They only leave your iPhone if you share them yourself through the iOS share sheet, with the recipient of your choice. The developer has no access to these files or to recipients.

9. Tracking and advertising

Nannix contains no ads and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. The App does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not request tracking permission (ATT). The NSPrivacyTracking value in the App's privacy manifest is false.

10. Retention

Your care data stays on your device until you delete it. Usage statistics are kept by PostHog for a limited period, 12 months at most.

11. Your rights (GDPR)

  • View and edit your data: it is fully visible and editable in the App.
  • Export your data: use the PDF or CSV exports.
  • Delete your data: delete sessions, children or employers in the App, or uninstall the App to remove all local data.
  • Usage statistics: they are not linked to your identity. For any request (access, erasure, objection), email the address below with your approximate install date and device model.

You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL: www.cnil.fr).

12. Minors

The App is not intended for minors. A cared-for child's first name may be entered by the parent or by the caregiver; it stays only on that adult user's device and is never sent.

13. Changes to this policy

Any material change will be reflected in the date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, mentioned in the App Store release notes.

Session recording (screenshots with masking)

Since September 2026, Nannix may record usage sessions through PostHog, to understand where people get stuck in the app.

  • What it is: a series of screenshots of the app screen, replayed like a video, with the places that were tapped. No audio, no camera, no content from other apps. Nothing is recorded while the app is in the background.
  • What is masked: children's first names, actual childcare hours, hour totals, the contract and your notes. Masking is applied on your device, before sending: these never appear in a recording.
  • Hosting and retention: PostHog servers in the European Union, kept for 30 days, then deleted automatically.
  • Identification: the recording is tied to the same random identifier as the other usage metrics, which cannot identify you.
