Privacy Policy - Migralo (Migraine Diary)
Last updated: 2026-06-12
1. Summary
Migralo is a migraine diary. It records your attacks (intensity, pain areas, triggers, medication, aura, symptoms), your menstrual cycle if you enable it, and the barometric pressure measured at the start of each attack. The data you enter is stored locally on your device. The app only collects anonymous usage data to improve the experience.
2. Data collected
Migralo stores your health data exclusively on your device through SwiftData (a local database encrypted by iOS). It is never sent to a developer server, never shared with third parties, never used for advertising. It only leaves your device if you export it yourself (PDF report for your doctor) or through your personal iCloud backup. Deleting the app permanently erases all local data.
Barometric pressure
Migralo reads the barometric pressure through your iPhone barometer (CoreMotion) at the start of an attack. This measurement is purely physical, requires no network connection or location, and stays stored locally with the related attack.
Anonymous usage data
We use PostHog to improve the app. PostHog only collects anonymous events (screens viewed, usage actions), the app version, device type and iOS version. This data is tied to a randomly generated local identifier, with no link to your identity. PostHog never receives the content of your diary or any health data.
3. Permissions
The app requests access to motion and orientation data (CoreMotion) for the sole purpose of reading barometric pressure. It does not request camera, photos, microphone, location, contacts or HealthKit.
4. In-app purchases
Migralo offers an optional subscription, Migralo Premium, managed by Apple through StoreKit. Payment is processed by Apple under its own terms; the developer never receives any payment details.
5. Third-party services
The app uses PostHog (posthog.com) for the anonymous usage analytics described above. Data is hosted in Europe (EU) and processing complies with GDPR. PostHog receives no health data, no personal data and no identifying information.
No advertising trackers, no social media integration, no third-party monetization SDK.
6. Your rights (GDPR)
Because your health data is stored locally on your device and no identifiable personal data is sent to our infrastructure, we hold no data about you. You exercise your rights of access, rectification and deletion directly from the app or by uninstalling it.
7. Medical notice
Migralo is a personal tracking tool. It provides no diagnosis or prescription and does not replace the advice of a health professional. The MIDAS score computed in the app is a disability indicator with no diagnostic value. If you have an unusual or severe symptom, consult a doctor.
8. Children
The app is not intended for children under 13.
9. Contact
