1. Acceptance

By using the Mekix application (the "App"), you accept these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Service description

Mekix is an iOS car maintenance logbook: vehicles, service events, mileage, costs, invoice photos, documents and reminders are stored on your device. Basic use (one vehicle with its full history, reminders and resale report) is free. Additional features are offered with the Mekix+ subscription.

3. License

Alexandre Paul grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the App on iOS devices you own or control. The license is also subject to Apple's standard EULA: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

4. Mekix+ subscription and in-app purchases

What you get. The Mekix+ subscription unlocks, among other things: several vehicles, continuous iCloud backup, a resale report without watermark and unlimited photos. The details and price of each plan are shown in the App before any purchase.

Plans and renewal. Mekix+ is an auto-renewable subscription (for example monthly or yearly, depending on the plans offered in the App). Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically for the same duration and price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal is charged within 24 hours before the end of the period.

Cancellation. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings (Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; Mekix+ access remains until then. No free trial is offered.

Refunds. Payments and refunds are handled exclusively by Apple under its own terms (https://reportaproblem.apple.com).

Former lifetime purchase. People who bought the former lifetime Mekix+ access (one-time purchase) before the switch to a subscription keep it with no time limit and never need to subscribe. Use "Restore a previous purchase" in the App to get it back on a new device.

End of subscription. If your subscription ends, your data stays on your device and remains viewable. Mekix+ features (for example adding extra vehicles) are no longer available until you subscribe again.

5. Acceptable use

No illegal use, no reverse engineering, no circumvention of technical protections.

6. Intellectual property

The App belongs to Alexandre Paul. Data you enter (vehicles, invoices, photos, mileage) remains your property.

7. iCloud backup (optional, included in Mekix+)

The App offers optional iCloud backup, included in Mekix+, via your own Apple account. This sync is operated by Apple (CloudKit) and governed by Apple's privacy policy. Alexandre Paul has no access to those data.

8. No warranty

The App is provided "as is", with no warranty of absence of errors or fitness for purpose. Use it at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

Subject to applicable law (French law governing), Alexandre Paul's liability is limited to the amounts you paid for the App or Mekix+ during the last 12 months. No liability for indirect or consequential damages.

11. Changes

These terms may be updated. The latest version will be available in the App or on the App Store page.

12. Governing law

French law governs. French courts have jurisdiction, subject to applicable consumer protection rules.
