Privacy Policy — Mekix (CarLog)

1. Who we are

Mekix (the "App") is an iOS car-logbook application published by an independent developer. The App is distributed on the App Store under the name Mekix.

2. Data collected

Mekix does not collect any personal data.

The App runs entirely locally on your device. The information you enter (vehicles, service events, mileage, costs, invoice photos, reminders) is stored exclusively in the App's sandbox on your iPhone.

No data is transmitted to any external server, to any third-party service, or to the App's developer.

3. iCloud sync (optional)

If you enable iCloud sync in the App settings, your data will be synced via your own Apple iCloud account across your personal devices. This sync is fully managed by Apple and subject to Apple's privacy policy. The Mekix developer has no access to this data.

iCloud sync is disabled by default. You can turn it off at any time in Settings > iCloud sync.

4. Photos and documents

Invoice and document photos you import from your library or capture with the camera are stored locally in the App's Application Support folder (sandboxed). They never leave your device unless you yourself use the "Share" feature to export a PDF.

5. Notifications

If you allow them, the App may send local notifications (inspection reminders, oil change, etc.). These are generated and handled entirely on your device through the iOS system framework. No data is transmitted to any external server.

6. Trackers and advertising

Mekix contains no tracker, no advertising network, no third-party analytics SDK (Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.). The NSPrivacyTracking value declared in the App's privacy manifest is false.

7. Aggregated or anonymized data

No data is collected, even in aggregated or anonymized form.

8. User rights (GDPR)

Since no personal data is collected by the developer, your rights to access, rectification, portability and erasure are exercised directly on your device:

  • View your data: it is fully visible and editable in the App.
  • Export your data: use Settings > Export my data to obtain a JSON file.
  • Delete your data: uninstall the App from your iPhone to remove all local data. If you use iCloud, also remove data via iPhone Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Storage > Mekix.

9. Minors

The App collects no data and is not specifically intended for use by minors.

10. Changes to this policy

Any material change to this policy will be reflected in the date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, communicated through App Store release notes.
