1. Summary

Lawno is a lawn care companion app: a seasonal care calendar, a task tracker and an optional photo journal. Your data stays stored locally on your device. Only one anonymous data flow leaves your device: usage analytics (PostHog).

No data is sold, none is used for advertising. The App has no account, no login, and no developer-owned server.

2. Data collected

Lawn data (local storage)

Lawno stores locally (via SwiftData, on your device only):

Your ZIP code and estimated USDA hardiness zone
Your grass type and lawn surface details
Your task completion history
Your journal entries and optional photos

This data is never sent to a developer server and is never shared with any third party. The App has no cloud sync or sharing feature.

Journal photos

If you attach photos to a journal entry, they are selected from your photo library (native picker) and stored exclusively in the App's local storage, on your device. They are never transmitted to a server, the developer, or any third party.

Anonymous usage data (analytics)

We use PostHog (hosted in Europe) to improve the App. PostHog collects only anonymous events (app opened, onboarding completed, task marked done, paywall shown, subscription purchased or restored), app version, and device type. This data is associated with a randomly generated local identifier, unrelated to your identity. PostHog never receives your ZIP code, grass type, task details, or journal content.

3. Third-party services

PostHog (posthog.com) — anonymous usage analytics, data hosted in the European Union.
Apple StoreKit — handles the Lawno Pro subscription (see section 4).

No advertising tracker, no social media integration, no third-party monetization SDK, no developer-owned server.

4. Lawno Pro subscription

Purchase and management of the subscription are handled directly by Apple through your App Store account. No payment information (card number, bank details) is collected or stored by Lawno.

5. Your rights

Since your data is stored exclusively on your device, you access, modify, and delete it directly from within the App. Uninstalling the App permanently erases all local data. We hold no personally identifiable data server-side. For any question or to exercise your rights, contact the developer (section 7).

6. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data about them.
