Summary

Kinésio lets you enter the exercises prescribed by your physical therapist and track your adherence. Your exercise program and session history are stored only on your device (with optional private iCloud backup). Kinésio also uses an anonymous usage analytics tool (PostHog) to improve the app, described below.

1. Who we are

Kinésio is an iOS mobile app for tracking rehabilitation exercises, distributed by an independent developer, Alexandre Paul. Contact: alexandre-paul@outlook.com.

2. Data stored

The following is stored exclusively on your device, with optional private iCloud sync (CloudKit, on your own Apple account):

This data is never sent to a developer server, never shared with third parties, never used for advertising. Uninstalling the app permanently erases all local data. When enabled, iCloud backup is handled by Apple (CloudKit) and falls under Apple's privacy policy; Alexandre Paul has no access to this data.

3. System permissions

Kinésio may request notification permission, for the daily session reminder you set up during onboarding. No other system permission (location, camera, contacts, etc.) is required.

4. PDF export for your therapist

The PDF export feature (Premium) generates a summary of your adherence and feelings entirely on your device, without going through a server. The file is shared via iOS's native share sheet (Mail, Files, AirDrop, etc.) — only you decide where it goes.

5. Anonymous usage analytics (PostHog)

Kinésio uses PostHog to understand how the app is used and improve it. PostHog is an open-source tool, hosted on European (EU) servers, GDPR-compliant.

Data collected: anonymous usage events (e.g. app opened, onboarding completed, session completed, paywall shown, subscription purchased, PDF exported), with no exercise content, free note, or health history.
Data not collected: name, your exercise content, geographic location, advertising identifier (IDFA).

This data is associated with a random identifier generated at install time, which cannot identify you. It is never used for advertising nor shared with third parties. No ad network, no other tracking tool.

6. Purchases

The Kinésio Plus subscription is processed entirely by Apple via StoreKit. Kinésio's publisher never sees or stores your payment information.

7. Retention and deletion

You can archive or edit an exercise from within the app at any time. Uninstalling the app deletes all local data; data synced via iCloud remains subject to your personal iCloud account management.

8. Medical content

Kinésio does not produce, recommend, or modify any medical content: the exercises displayed are exclusively the ones you entered yourself. The app is not a medical device and does not replace the advice of your physical therapist.

9. Minors

Kinésio is not targeted at minors as users and does not collect any sensitive data beyond what is described above.

10. Changes

In case of a substantial change to this policy, the update date at the top of this document will be revised.
