Terms of Use — Goldfall

Last updated: 2026-09-18

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Goldfall (the "App"), you agree to these terms of use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Service description

Goldfall is a single-player idle coin-pusher game: you drop coins, build platforms, unlock upgrades and progress deeper. The game is played without an account.

3. License

Alexandre Paul grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App. Also subject to Apple's standard EULA: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

4. Virtual items and currencies

Coins, currencies, platforms, upgrades, skins and other in-game items are virtual items with no real-world value. They cannot be exchanged for money, refunded in money, transferred or sold outside the game. They are granted under the license and are not property you own.

5. In-app purchases

Goldfall offers optional in-app purchases, handled by Apple through your App Store account:

  • Non-consumable purchases: Founder Pack, "No Ads" (removes full-screen ads), Starter Pack and coin skins. They can be restored from Settings → Restore purchases, for example when changing device.
  • Consumable purchases: hourglasses, which grant in-game production time. They are used up when consumed and cannot be restored.

Goldfall offers no subscription. The price shown on the App Store is authoritative and may vary by region and applicable taxes. Payment is charged to your Apple account when you confirm the purchase. Refund requests are handled by Apple (https://reportaproblem.apple.com).

6. Slot-machine style draws

Platform draw. The game includes a "slot machine" animation that reveals three platform types. The player then picks one of the three types offered; the platform's price is fixed and known in advance, and it is paid only with coins earned in the game, never with real money.

Cog machine. The game also includes a simulated game of chance, the "Cog machine". Each spin is played by staking 2 cogs (an in-game currency that is never sold for real money) or for free by watching an optional video. A spin returns 1 to 150 cogs (average return 98.7%, odds shown in the machine). Winnings are cogs only.

None of these draws offers a monetary prize or anything convertible into money; nothing can be withdrawn or cashed out, and none can be played with real money.

7. Advertising

The game offers optional ad videos that grant an in-game bonus. It may also show rare, capped full-screen ads at natural pauses (never in the middle of an action or during your first day of play); these are removed by the "No Ads" purchase or the Founder Pack. Video availability depends on the ad provider (Google AdMob) and is not guaranteed; the absence of a video gives no right to compensation.

8. Saving and availability

Progress is saved on the device and, if iCloud is enabled, in your private iCloud space. The developer cannot guarantee recovery of lost progress (uninstalling without iCloud, device reset, failure of an Apple service). The game may evolve, be updated, rebalanced or removed from the App Store; such changes may alter in-game values.

9. Acceptable use

No illegal use, no reverse engineering, no cheating by modifying the App or its data, no bypassing of protections or purchases.

10. Intellectual property

The App, its design, graphics, sounds and original content belong to Alexandre Paul.

11. No warranty

The App is provided "as is", with no warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation, or fitness for a particular purpose.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by French law, Alexandre Paul's liability is limited to the amount paid for the in-app purchases concerned. No liability for indirect or consequential damages.

13. Changes

These terms may change. If they change substantially, the update date at the top of this document will be updated.
