1. Summary

Goldfall is a single-player idle coin pusher game. It runs without an account and without a sign-up. It does not collect your name, your email or anything that directly identifies you. Your progress is stored on your device (and in your private iCloud space). The game sends pseudonymous gameplay statistics to an analytics tool hosted in the European Union, to balance the game; you can turn them off in the game's settings. Ads are served by Google AdMob: optional rewarded videos and, rarely, full-screen ads at natural pauses (removed by the "No Ads" purchase or the Founder Pack). In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, your consent is asked before any ad.

2. Who are we?

Goldfall is an iOS mobile app distributed by an independent developer, Alexandre Paul. Contact: alexandrepaul06800@gmail.com.

3. Data collected

The game does not collect: name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, photos. No account is needed to play. We do not follow your activity in other apps or on other websites, and we neither sell nor share any data for advertising.

The developer has no access to your iCloud space. Uninstalling the app erases the local data.

4. Gameplay statistics

To balance the game (whether progress is too fast or too slow, where players stop, which features get used), the game sends pseudonymous gameplay events to our analytics tool, PostHog (PostHog Inc.), hosted in the European Union (eu.posthog.com).

What is sent: what happens in the game (platform reached, coins earned, upgrades bought, screens opened, bonuses tapped, videos offered or watched, purchases made, session start and end and their length), plus technical device information (model, iOS version, game version, language, time zone). No location is stored (IP geolocation is turned off for this game).
Under which identifier: a random identifier created by the game at install. It is not linked to your name, your Apple account or the device's advertising identifier. Uninstalling the game removes it.
What is never sent: your name, email, contacts, location, or the advertising identifier.
Why: only to improve the game (legitimate interest). This data is not used for advertising and is neither sold nor shared.
When: only after the welcome screen of the first launch.
You can say no: game Settings → "Gameplay statistics". Once off, nothing more is sent.
Retention: 24 months at most.

5. Permissions

The app may ask for:

Local notifications, when you schedule a reminder (full hold, daily reminder). They are generated on the device, without a server.
App Tracking Transparency, only to let Google AdMob use the advertising identifier (see section 6).

Goldfall asks for no access to location, camera, photos, microphone, contacts or Apple Health. You can revoke each permission at any time in iOS Settings.

6. Third-party services

Google AdMob (advertising)

Optional rewarded videos. You choose to watch a video to get an in-game bonus (tripling the hold, recharging a power, a free spin of the Cog machine…).

Full-screen ads (interstitials). The game may also occasionally show a full-screen ad at a natural pause: after a platform is built, after a Heritage (handing the machine down), or when you come back after a long absence. They are rare and capped, never appear in the middle of an action or during your first day of play, and are removed for good by the "No Ads" in-app purchase or the Founder Pack.

Consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland). In these countries, a Google consent form (User Messaging Platform) is shown before any ad. You can change your choice at any time in the game: Settings → "Ad privacy settings".

These ads are served by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC). To show them, AdMob processes technical device data (model, iOS version, language, approximate IP address) and, only if you allow it in iOS's "App Tracking" prompt, the device's advertising identifier (IDFA). If you decline, ads are still shown and videos remain available, just less personalised. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

In-app purchases (Apple)

In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. The developer never sees or stores your payment information: the App Store only reports that a purchase was validated for your device.

iCloud (Apple)

The copy of your progress is stored in your personal iCloud space, managed by Apple.

No social media integration.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

Gameplay statistics are tied to a random identifier, not to you: we cannot link them to you without your help. To access them, have them deleted or object to their collection, write to us (section 11); you can also stop sending them at any time in game Settings → "Gameplay statistics". Uninstalling the game stops all sending and removes the identifier. To remove the iCloud copy, delete Goldfall's data in your device's iCloud settings. For data processed by Google AdMob, see Google's privacy policy. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

8. Children

Goldfall is not specifically directed at children under 13 and the developer knowingly collects no data that identifies a child.

9. Security

Statistics are sent encrypted (HTTPS) and hosted in the European Union.

10. Changes

If this policy changes substantially, the "last updated" date at the top of this document will be updated.
