Summary
The app requires no account and collects no personally identifying data. Your answers (evening, profile, available time, starting point, chosen locations) stay on your device. The app uses an anonymous usage-analytics tool (PostHog), described below.
1. Who we are
"Fête des Lumières: Parcours" is an iOS app published by an independent developer, Alexandre Paul. Contact: alexandre-paul@outlook.com. The app is not affiliated with or endorsed by the City of Lyon.

None of this is sent to any server. It leaves the device only through your own iCloud backup, if you have enabled it for apps.
3. Notifications
If you allow them, the app schedules local notifications (two days before, on the day before the pedestrian perimeter closes, at the end of the evening, and the next morning). They are generated by your device from dates computed locally: no notification server is used and no data is transmitted to trigger them. You can turn them off at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.
4. Location
The app does not track your location in the background and keeps no movement history. The map shown is a static image of Lyon generated by Apple Maps; routes are computed from the locations you choose, not from your actual position.
5. Anonymous usage analytics (PostHog)
The app uses PostHog to understand how it is used and improve it. PostHog is an open-source tool hosted on European (EU) servers and GDPR-compliant.
- Collected: anonymous usage events (screens viewed, route generated, paywall shown, purchase completed), app version, device type, iOS version.
- Not collected: name, email, phone number, GPS position, advertising identifier (IDFA), the content of your onboarding answers.
This data is tied to a random identifier generated at install time that cannot identify you. It is never used for advertising and never sold to third parties. No ad network, no other tracking tool.
6. Install attribution (Apple Ads)
On first launch, the app queries Apple's AdServices to determine whether the install came from an Apple Search Ads campaign. This information is aggregated and anonymous: it identifies the source campaign, never you. It is used solely to measure the effectiveness of a campaign.
7. Purchases
In-app purchases are handled by Apple. The app never sees your payment method or your Apple Account: it only receives from StoreKit the confirmation that a valid purchase exists for this device.
8. Retention and deletion
Data remains on your device for as long as the app is installed. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data.
9. Children
The app is not specifically aimed at children and knowingly collects no data concerning them.
10. Your rights
As no personally identifying data is collected, no named access or deletion request is required. For any question about this policy: alexandre-paul@outlook.com.
11. Changes
This policy may change. If a substantial change is made, the update date at the top of this document will be revised.
