Terms of Use — ClairPeau

Last updated: 2026-08-05

Purpose

ClairPeau is a skin-tracking journal app (daily check-in, progress photos, morning/evening routines), running entirely locally on your device. By downloading or using the app, you accept these terms.

ClairPeau is not a medical device

ClairPeau does not provide any diagnosis, does not recommend any treatment or medication, and never replaces the advice of a healthcare professional or dermatologist. The skin states you log are personal, subjective observations meant to help you track your own evolution, prepare for a medical appointment, or evaluate a routine — never to establish a diagnosis. If in doubt about your skin's condition, consult a healthcare professional.

Free of charge

ClairPeau is currently a fully free app, with no in-app purchase or subscription.

Your content

The check-ins, photos and notes you create remain your property. They are stored only on your device; you are solely responsible for backing them up (the app does not offer automatic cloud backup) and for their accuracy.

No warranty and limitation of liability

ClairPeau is provided "as is", as a self-observation tool, with no guarantee that using it will improve your skin's condition. To the extent permitted by French law, Alexandre Paul's liability is limited to use consistent with the app's stated purpose above, and cannot be engaged for a medical decision made without consulting a healthcare professional when necessary.

Termination

You may stop using ClairPeau at any time by deleting the app. Your local data is then permanently erased.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law.
