Terms of Use — Bercio

Last updated: 2026-09-04

1. Acceptance

By using Bercio (the "App"), you agree to these terms of use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of service

Bercio is an iOS mobile app that lets parents and legal guardians log a baby's feedings, diapers and sleep (timestamps, durations, breastfeeding side), view statistics and milestones, and share a handoff summary with the other parent.

3. License

Alexandre Paul grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license. Also subject to Apple's standard EULA: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

4. In-app purchases and subscriptions

The App offers a single, optional in-app purchase, "Bercio Premium" (a non-consumable, one-time purchase, with no subscription or automatic renewal), priced at €2.99 (may vary by App Store currency/region). This purchase unlocks unlimited history, insights and patterns, PDF export for your pediatrician, and co-parent sharing. The core of the App remains free without this purchase. It is managed by the App Store under Apple's terms. Refunds are handled by Apple.

5. Acceptable use

No unlawful use, no reverse engineering, no bypassing of protections.

6. Intellectual property

The App belongs to Alexandre Paul. Data you enter (your child's first name, timestamps, durations, notes) remains your property.

7. Medical disclaimer (IMPORTANT)

Bercio is not a medical device. The App is a memory aid and indicative tracking tool for your child's feedings, diapers and sleep. It does not provide a diagnosis, does not constitute medical advice, and never replaces consultation with, monitoring by, or recommendations from a healthcare professional (pediatrician, doctor, midwife, etc.).

If you have any doubt, a worrying symptom, or an emergency concerning your child, consult a healthcare professional immediately or call your local emergency number.

Data is entered by the parent or legal guardian and concerns a minor; you are solely responsible for how you use the App and for any decisions you make based on the information it displays.

8. No warranty

The App is provided "as is", without warranty of error-free operation or fitness for a particular purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by French law, Alexandre Paul's liability is limited to the price paid for the App (zero if free). No liability shall be incurred for decisions made based on information displayed in the App.

10. Personal data

See Bercio's privacy policy. The App processes data concerning a minor; this data stays stored locally on your device and, if you choose to use it, a summary handoff is shared with the other parent through iOS's native share system. Pseudonymized usage measurements are sent to PostHog to improve the App.

11. Changes

These terms may be updated.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

French law. French courts have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules.
